Zacadia was founded in Toronto, Canada in the year 2012. It was formed by passionate Zanzibaris who sought to co-ordinate help and act as a bridge between Zanzibaris in Canada and our own homeland.
Zanzibar-Canadian Diaspora Association (Zacadia) was formed due to the recent creation
of a new Department of International Cooperation and Zanzibar Diaspora (DICZD) in Zanzibar,
under the Ministry of State in the President's and Chairman of the
Revolutionary Council's Office. More Info
Our main mission is to foster, promote, encourage, facilitate and co-ordinate successful participation
of Zanzibaris living in Canada in the economic development of Zanzibar. More Info
We envision a country (Zanzibar) where abject poverty, ignorance and disease among the
common people are reduced. More Info
Zacadia is lead by a Board of Trustees (BoT) consisting of 5 members who are the founding
